To promote an undiscovered land rich with surprises: this is the mission of the “South Coast of Sardinia” Tourism Consortium. Founded in 1983, the consortium is formed of a group of Sardinian entrepreneurs who are convinced of the touristic importance of Southern Sardinia on the European market.
Nowadays, Cagliari is preparing itself to become a holiday destination all year round. New air travel connections, architectural projects with an eye to the environment, cultural initiatives in line with continental tendencies are transforming the Sardinian capital into a metropolis. Thus, a touristic offer that can satisfy a demanding public becomes necessary.
On the basis of a careful market research, the South Coast of Sardinia Consortium offers packages for various types of stay, through a network of partners that covers all the services and an offer that is not exclusively tied to the sea, but also to the environment, culture, wine and food and craftsmanship.
Hospitality
The hotels of the Consortium boast a long tradition in the field of holiday hospitality and daily experience with clients who travel for work
The members have successfully passed strict assessments on their professionalism and the quality of their services. They are located in Cagliari, in the immediate hinterland, along the Western coast or inland; many of them have meeting and congress rooms and incentives.
Wellness and Golf
The wellness Centers of the Consortium are well aware of the potential of the Sardinian land and, with professionalism and experience, offer individual treatments or well-being programs.
Myrtle, lentisk and wild lavender are typical essences of Sardinia, which become active ingredients of the beauty treatments. Moreover, the sea offers thalassotherapy: therapeutic and reinvigorating routes in environments that relax the mind and spirit.
For those who do not want to forego their passion for golfing there is a Golf Club with a 9-hole green nestled in truly unique nature just 15 minutes away.
Taste
The cuisine of Southern Sardinia is very varied and offers fish and meat dishes that are dense with scents and intense flavors. The restaurants belonging to the Consortium pay special attention to the wine and food tradition of Sardinia.
Some restaurants offer ancient recipes, passed down from one generation to the next. Others reinvent traditional dishes with a modern touch but always keeping them bound to local produce.
Social venues and historical residences
Cagliari’s culture boasts a long tradition of literary cafes, many of which are, first of all, lounges linked to the memories of the city. Historical meeting places, but still trendy. The Cafes are the ideal refuge for a brunch, an afternoon tea break or an evening cocktail.
The historical residences can be even more eclectic: they combine tradition with modernity, and know how to contribute to the exaltation of Sardinian art and culture. Some even have curious surprises, like a Bread museum!
Transportation services
Two Bus operators, car hire with driver, a company that organizes excursions aboard off-road vehicles, travel agencies and Tour Operators are all essential partners of the Consortium.
Thanks to their safe quality and professionalism, the Bus operators have obtained several awards on a national level. Highly qualified personnel ensures service around the clock.
The travel agencies and tour Operators create specific products that bring together the range of services offered by partners, while the excursion companies and the car rentals cater to all type of requests with customized proposals.
Public institutions
The following are members of the Consortium: the Chamber of Commerce, the Municipality, the Province of Cagliari (Planning Office), the Association of tradesmen (ASCOM – Confcommercio) of Cagliari and the Special Tradeshow Company.
